Backup LightsKeystone Cougar 325SRX > Outside Modifications I always put backup lights on my RVs. We often leave late Friday after work for a weekend of camping and arrive at the campground after dark. Having backup lights is much better than using flashlights. I also have a switch in my truck so I can turn all the lights on from the truck. If I have to make a tight turn or do a u turn after dark I will turn on the lights so I can see where the tires are o

Water FilterKeystone Copper Canyon > Outside Modifications My previous Wildcat came with a water filter. I purchased carbon filters from Lowes for about $9 for a pack of two. The carbon filters removed most of the taste and smell of fluorine in the various water systems we encountered over the years.

Generator Wiring and Power Transfer RelayKeystone Copper Canyon > Outside Modifications I have a Honda EU3000i generator and I love the thing. I bought it in Dec 2002 and have over 1000 hours on it. If it quit tomorrow I would buy another one just like it. It runs the AC with no problem. When we are just trying to get some miles behind us we will often over night in a WalMart parking lot or a truck stop. Having power gives us a lot of flexibility.

Broken SpringsForest River Wildcat > Problems Before I take any trip in the Wildcat I always take it for a drag, usually to work, on the day before I leave for the trip. The purpose is to give the Wildcat a quick checkout. Are the brakes working, wheel bearings ok, tires running ok, all the lights are working, etc?

Worn Spring Shackles AgainForest River Wildcat > Problems I recently crawled under my Wildcat and what I saw gave me weak knees. The front of the spring leaf on the left side of the rear axle was resting against the bottom of the frame. The shackles were broken. The broken edges were rusty and had probably broken sometime during our summer trip.
