Camping Traditions

If you travel in a camper very much you create traditions and collect camper items that stay in the camper. The plaque above was purchased sometime in the 70's and was kept in the family fifth wheel camper when I was a kid. When I purchased my first camper my Dad gave me this plaque for my camper. It has traveled almost 100,000 miles with me over the last 12 years.

But the real reason for this post as I sit here beside a fire on July 2, 2012 on the Northern California coast with a temperature of 57 degrees is to pick on my sister in law, Donna. I have two "camper shirts" (one blue and one red) that have stayed in the camper since at least 2001. They are getting a little ragged and Donna picks on me about how they look but they have so many memories associated with them that I doubt I will ever get rid of them. So just for Donna I wore the red one on the cold California coast today and modeled it for a photo.

My sister in law Donna, gives me a hard time about my camping shirts. This is one of three that stay in the camper that are 10 years old and have over 100,000 miles on them. I had to model it for her in a neat locaton.
