The fan in the hood above my stove does not exhaust the heat outside. It simply blows the air back to the inside. This makes absolutely no sense to me. I thought the idea of the fan was to exhaust hot air, steam and odors to the outside.
On a hot humid day, cooking much of a meal puts more heat inside the Wildcat than the air conditioner can handle.
So while adding my outside shower, I also added an exhaust vent. Cutting the hole in the wall of the Wildcat was easy. The hood had sheet metal in the back where I wanted to exhaust the air. I used a metal cutting disk on a small 4 inch angle grinder to cut a rectangular hole in this sheet metal which lines up with the hole I cut in the wall of the Wildcat.
Now heat, steam and odors will go to the outside.
